The New Church Building Coming Soon! Updated images by Dennis Thompson, Architect
New Church Building Purpose
Immanuel has a 100-year history of ministry in Woodburn. Over the years, our church has provided a warm and engaging place of welcome and spiritual growth. Our church has also taken conscientious steps over time to prepare us for this point in our development as a congregation. While our church family is healthy and eager for ministry, our current church site restricts the ways in which we can serve one another and our community.
In 2006 Immanuel purchased 8 acres of land on Evergreen Road south of Wal-mart. We have plans to one day build a new facility at that location.
In order to continue our mission as God's people, Immanuel seeks to relocate and expand its faciliites. The focus of our "Legacy of Faith - Building for God's Glory" capital campaign is to provide needed funds to pay for our new church building.
Our current and future stewardship efforts will help us activate our mission as a church and expand the following areas of ministry:
Worship, Fellowship and Welcome
Improved accessibility and flexibility - no stairs.
Expanded space for worship services.
Room to host choirs and music programs.
Make our facilities welcoming and inviting to members and guests - example: large welcoming
entryway and bathrooms that are easy to find and easily accessible.
Children, Youth, Young Adults, and Seniors
(Quilters).
recreation/soccer field for all ages.
Mission Outreach
The new facility will be located in and better able to serve the growing part of Woodburn.
Be a more visible signal to the community that Immanuel is a vital and growing church.
Better meet the needs of our growing community by providing a welcoming place for meetings
and gatherings.
